Have you thought about “Life Management and Career Planning?” When considering a career in the United States, how would you prepare yourself to be successful in job interviews and land the job of desire? Often international students and visiting scholars are very concerned about these issues. For those having lived and worked in the United States for many years, these issues are also dear-to-hearts. Leaving the campus student life and entering a workplace, one must face challenges of "supporting the family", "going with the flow", or "yielding to the environmental trends". Have you thought about while working in a job "工作", developing a career "事业", how to fulfill your calling "志业"?
In the coming MSG Fellowship meeting on September 6, we invite Dr. Stephen Wu to speak on "Life Management and Career Planning" and "How to be successful in job interviews.” The presentation and discussion will inspire a better understanding of job, career, and calling so that we may be inspired to seek a positive, optimistic, and goal-oriented happy life.
Dr. Stephen Wu was from Taiwan. He graduated from the Chemistry Department of National Taiwan University and obtained a Ph.D. degree from Stanford University. Dr. Wu has served as a Lab Head for product development in chemical and pharmaceutical companies. After retirement, he served as a trustee of Missouri Baptist University and a visiting professor of biochemistry, and he also started a consulting company. His wife, An Chen Wu, graduated from St. Louis Covenant Theological Seminary specializing in spiritual care and counseling. Currently both of them are actively serving church brothers and sisters via leading bible studies, workshops on emotional health, and marriage and family related issues.
